Community Service/Projects

Plans and funds local community events (Light Up Night, Safe Halloween, etc)
Produces, Publishes and Financially Supports the delivery of the Homepage Newspaper which is distributed free of charge to 12,000 plus households in Hazelwood, Glen Hazel, 31^st Ward, Greenfield, Lincoln Place, Hays, and New Homestead.
Organizes and coordinates numerous Block Club Groups including: The Public Safety Committee, Urban Agriculture Committee, Blight Clean Up Committee, The Small Business Marketplace, and others.

Development

Property conversion of old homes, businesses, schools. (Propel Hazelwood Schools, Properties on Gertrude St., Gladstone, St. etc.)
Creating of new public spaces: gardens, vacant lots, Kaboom Playground, etc.
Collaborative Community Planning with Partner Organizations for development plans via MainStreet, and the former Coke Plants and Brownfields

Community Advocacy and Sponsorship

Advocating for local policy changes
Advocating for local attention/financial support for the area
Sponsors and fiscally guides local entrepreneurs and enterprises
Sponsors monthly meetings that allow community members to voice concerns, share information, and learn about local interest within the community.
