Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.  But we also believe that we need to go to the streets in order to bring the people into the house of the Lord.

About Us

El-BethEl Temple Church which is an apostolic church, was established by Elder Monty Grinage on April 4, 2004.  El-BethEl Temple Church was  first a small church on top of a hill.  On top of this hill El-BethEl Temple tried to be a light to the community of Elizabeth, PA.  Elder Monty Grinage always said that he could start but we would have to continue to go on with his vision and make it greater in order to bring people into the Church.  El-BethEl Temple stayed in Elizabeth for four years, but it was a decision that was made to move to Wilkinsburg, PA in 2008.  So the church that was once on the hill became the church on the corner.

Since 2008, El-BethEl Temple is trying to be a light to the community of Wilkinsburg.  Under the leadership of our pastor, Elder Curtis Lewis, the church provides many different events for the community. Please go to our departments tab to read about the outreach that we do for the community. We want to touch many people with the work that we do for the Lord and bring them into our church.  We especially want to be there for the youth because they are the ones that really need our help.  “Train a child up in the way that he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6.  Our youth is our future and we want to help them find the right way in Jesus Christ and not in the World.

And we leave you with our Church motto: “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers.”  Acts 2:42
